The Inspiration Behind Laberinto Integration

During one of my early trips to Costa Rica, I had the privilege of visiting a remarkable place called La Senda. What I anticipated as a simple evening out with friends turned into a deeply transformative experience.

La Senda is home to a breathtaking cactus labyrinth, uniquely situated on one of the world’s rare energy centers. As my husband, two dear friends, and I embarked on a walk through the labyrinth, I was immediately struck by its profound symbolism.

The labyrinth revealed a truth about life’s journey: we all start together, yet inevitably drift in different directions. At times, we cross paths, reengage, or walk alongside one another. At other times, our paths remain separate until we meet again at the end. This interplay felt deeply resonant, not only as a reflection of life itself but also as a metaphor for the journeys many of us take when working with plant medicine.

I was inspired by the beauty of beginnings and endings, the complexity of the paths in between, and the vital role of integration in navigating these journeys with purpose and impact. Integration, I realized, is what allows the insights gained through plant medicine to ripple outward, transforming our lives and the lives of those we touch.

This experience stayed with me and ultimately led me to make a significant change: leaving my vibrant trauma-focused private practice in New York City to dive more deeply into the work of plant medicine integration.

Labyrinths teach us that the journey is as important as the destination. Inspired by this understanding, I founded Laberinto Integration—a space where life’s pathways are honored, and the transformative power of plant medicine is integrated into meaningful, lasting change.

Welcome to Laberinto Integration.

HEY, I’M THOMAS.

certified Psychedelic-assisted Therapist

I am a traditionally trained psychotherapist, certified in EMDR, IFS, and Somatic Therapies. My work has always centered on supporting marginalized, oppressed, and underserved communities, those too often failed by the medical and insurance systems and left to navigate the profound challenges of trauma without adequate care.

When I began my career as a trauma therapist, I quickly realized something was missing. Traditional training often discouraged self-disclosure, emphasizing a detached professionalism. But as a trauma survivor myself, I knew the power of connection, the healing that can happen when the person sitting across from you truly sees you. It was this lack of connection in my own healing journey that pushed me to create something different.

Out of this recognition grew a drive to become the therapist I always needed but never had. I sought an alternative path, one that embraced both the science of healing and the humanity at its core. I delved into training beyond the traditional, becoming certified in EMDR, IFS, and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. But more importantly, I’ve worked to integrate these tools with a flexibility and personalization that makes every therapeutic journey unique.

My approach is deeply rooted in the belief that healing is not about “fixing.” You are not broken. You are whole, and my role is to walk with you as we uncover that wholeness together. I am passionate about seeing you fully; your story, your resilience, and your humanity.

At Laberinto Integration, my goal is to build a bridge toward healing that is tailored to you: your needs, your journey, your growth. Together, we create a space where you are seen, celebrated, and empowered to embrace the transformation you seek.
